We are a Florida law firm that offers low cost, flat fee limited legal services ("unbundled" or "discreet task" legal services). That means we do not offer the full range of services normally associated with law firms that bill clients by the hour for their time. Those lawyers typically devote their time, without limitation, to particular tasks (including client conferences, meetings, phone calls, letters, legal research, drafting pleadings, reviewing papers, conducting discovery, investigating facts and attending court hearings), keep track of how much is time spent on each task and then send a bill each month figured by multiplying the number of hours spent by their billable hour rate (usually somewhere between $250-500/hour). As you can see, it does not take long for a lawyer's bill to add up. A one hour meeting, followed by a couple letters, review of papers, a phone call or two, drafts and redrafts of court papers, contacting opposing counsel, etc., can add up to $1000's of dollars in bills; and the divorce may not even be done or close to being done. That is not how we work.

Most normal working people cannot afford that level service and expensive legal representation. As a result, the vast majority of people getting divorced in Florida today are trying to handle it on their own, and the numbers are skyrocketing. We are going to change all that. We offer real legal help at a substantially reduced flat fee. Our fee is a flat attorney fee, meaning, that's it. You know what the fee is before we start. People who have decided they cannot afford to hire a lawyer and who are buying self-help forms packets, "do it yourself divorce kits" or looking to "paralegal" or "document preparation" services for help, need look no further. Those folks are all potential clients for our firm. We are here to serve them and to make the court system understandable and accessible to them. Heck, we even go to court with them to attend their final hearing (uncontested divorce), so that they can get their divorce done quickly, efficiently and affordably and with no fear of the unknown.

We help our clients understand the divorce process and the legal issues they need to resolve with their spouses. We offer our clients access to our staff of knowledgeable lawyers to meet with and to talk to, for advice, to answer questions and to help them through the divorce process. We empower our clients by making sure they understand the process, so that they can make the best, and most fair, agreement they can. Once an agreement is reached, we take the terms, as given to us by the client, and create a marital settlement agreement, custom to the client's personal circumstances. We also draft the other mandatory court papers (the client will fill out the required financial affidavit) for the client and client's spouse's signatures. When we receive the signed papers back from the client, we file them in court and make sure the judge assigned to the case receives them and acts on them (either with or without a hearing, as appropriate and as agreed). If a final hearing is required, we go with the client.

Winning for us means getting the final divorce decree quickly, efficiently and affordably, so the divorce will be over and done with.

We do all this for a low, flat attorney fee, depending on whether the divorce is without kids ($399) or with kids ($499). It's a little extra for missing spouse or uncooperative spouse cases on account of the additional, and somewhat complex, work involved.
